Puma and I had the pleasure of attending the Club MomMe Family Fest in LA on Sunday. What an amazing day connecting with people who serve families in the childbearing year! It was a full day, and we are sorry we didn't get to meet everyone on our list.
One of the people I did get to visit with was Dymphna Gruijters, IBCLC and exhibitor forLansinoh. Every time I see her, I learn something new!
This time, she shared a simple tip that can help moms decide when/how to use their Thera-Pearl 3-in-1 Breast Therapy treatment packs.

One of the priorities of The Bradley Method® is to stay
Healthy and Low-Risk during pregnancy by avoiding harmful substances. Many families who learn about all the
different toxins we are exposed to, and how to avoid them, choose to continue to stay healthy and
low-risk after their Sweet Pea’s Birth-Day.
The fabric we put on our Sweet Peas exposes all of that soft, sensitive skin
to whatever is in the fabric. Whatever that is then gets absorbed directly into the
Continuing on with the treasure-trove of naturally-minded companies we had the opportunity to experience at the Club MomMe Spring Family Fest, here is an Inside Look at the Mama Mio skin care lines. Mio co-founder Tanya Mackay Kazeminy ("MM") was kind enough to give us the inside scoop on their amazing company and products.
SPB: What is the motivation behind the Mama Mio Pregnancy and Postpartum skin care lines?
MM:Mama Mio was created out of our own selfish need. When we were pregnant, there wasn’t anything on the market that we actually wanted to use - skincare that actually worked, that wasn’t full of nasty chemicals, and products that made us feel good whilst using them.
of the treasures I brought home for the kiddos from the amazing Club MomMe
Spring Family Fest was a homemade, hand-crafted lotion bar from the Estella Grace
display. I got to visit with Amy’s
assistant, Jenelle, at the event; Amy was chatting with another customer when I stopped by. Amy was kind enough to do a
virtual interview with me and share these beautiful images of her products, all
of them hand-crafted and made with love in the USA.
SPB readers will want to consider using her handmade lotion bars as part of, "avoiding harmful substances" during pregnancy, or maybe the aromatherapy candles for use during relaxation practice, labor, or the postpartum period to add a little lift to your days.
Club MomMe Report:
the contacts I made at the Club MomMe Spring Family Fest was Stephanie Avila ("SA"),
designer and co-founder of Rockabye Mommy.
What stopped me in my tracks was this stunning flower wall. It is a Tonia Fischer creation, and it is a design element they have used in some of their nurseries (not the whole wall - usually only a few flowers per room). I’m glad I stopped for a chat – she is a
great resource if you are a SoCal mama and can enlist her services.
I am heading to Orange County today to attend theClub MomMe Spring Family Fest
. If you are not able to attend in person, please feel free to be a part of the event by following us on Twitter (@sweetpeabirths) and on Instagram (http://instagram.com/sweetpeabirths) to see what we are seeing and doing throughout the day.
