Bowman Family Christmas 2011

Bruss and I have four beautiful children. They all started out life as "blue-ribbon" alert and healthy babies: 8 lbs. 13 oz., 11
lbs. 1 oz., 9 lbs. 3 oz., and 9 lbs. 9 oz.
Thanks to the The Bradley Method®, all four were epidural-free births! Our first three children were born in the hospital, and we welcomed our fourth baby at home with all the family in attendance to welcome her.
Each labor taught us a bit about the child, and a lot more about trusting each other and the natural process. A woman's body is beautifully designed to give birth, and if you let labor run it's course, it is an extremely rewarding and life-changing experience.
Baby arrives - now what? We
all spend time planning and preparing for the birth - and sometimes
we forget that there is at least an 18-year commitment of responsibility
and a lifetime of love attached to that birth.
We can honestly say
that our time as students of The Bradley Method® not only prepared us
for each child's birth-day - the teamwork we learned has enriched our
marriage and made us better parents. We are so excited to be able
to share The Bradley Method® with you. We would be honored to be your
instructors and share in the preparation for one of life's most
beautiful moments with your family.

About our blog:
The blog was born out of a desire to answer student questions, and make those available to future classes since every class series draws out different questions based on the knowledge the students are already holding.
You will not find slick ads, blogger buttons or affiliate links in any of our pages or posts. While I envy other bloggers with pretty pages, sponsors, and popularity contests, quite frankly I already have a full-time job: homeschooling our four children. I am also quite active in our local birth community...leaving no time for the extras if I want some sanity in my life. In addition, I do not have the time or interest in the paperwork that accompanies blogging for income. So please enjoy the pages for what they are: an effort to provide researched information about pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding. For more about Life Beyond the Birth-Day, please check out our blog at Sweet Pea Families (http://www.sweetpeafamilies.com/).
