Sweet Peas, Pods & Papas: All About Birth, [email protected]

The Mommy Con Babywearing World Record Event was on Sunday,
October 8, 2013 at the LA Convention Center West Hall. Cassandra and I got to attend as media, and we were able to cover lots of aspects of the whole Mommy Con experience.
Here are links to all the things we saw and experienced that day:
The day started off with the Babywearing World Record - clickHERE
to see pictures from that event.
Then we went into the convention hall. Our next treat was the eye candy of all the beautiful new carriers on the scene for the fall.
Mommy Con founder Xza Louise Higgins envisioned that the conferences would be about delivering quality information and products to mothers around the country. The Los Angeles event did all that and more! See our vendor coverageHERE
on our SPF blog, and check out the Babywearing Fashion ShowHERE
, and scenes from the Babywearing World RecordHERE
To close out this amazing day, a fourth speaker took the stage at 3:00 pm. Milkin' Cookies sponsored an appearance by Abby Theuring from
Cassandra and I were part of the "media" contingent at MommyCon LA Babywearing World Record Event on Sunday, October 6, 2013. We had such a wonderful time walking the floor, meeting vendors and being inspired by the wonderful speakers as we looked and listened to bring all the happenings back to you. See the bottom of this posts for links to more of the activity!
At 2:00 pm, the third person to take the stage on Sunday was January Harshe, founder of Birth Without Fear, sponsored by Nüroo.
Have I told you how amazing MommyConLA was? I know I did:)
Second on the stage on Sunday, October 6 for MommyCon and Babywearing World Record was Jessica Martin-Weber ofThe Leaky [email protected]@b
. Her 1:00 pm appearance was sponsored by Moby®. Since she saw so many mamas breastfeeding, and doing so confidently in public, she
decided to give us a speech about parenting.
Here are my notes from her talk:
She is the proud mama of six daughters.
While she is their mother, they do not define her.
Mommy Con LA was truly what I imagined a mommy-conference to be...great speakers, new product releases...first looks at new styles from trusted companies...it was amazing!
We were able to attend and take notes...please take some time to check out all the vendors that were there over on our post on Sweet Pea Families
...pictures turn out better there, so that's where they posted. In addition, check out our Wordless Wednesday on Sweet Pea Births
and Sweet Pea Families
We had a great time at the event on Sunday! Here are the pictures that I took. Cassandra was busy live-tweeting everything I sent her. For those of you that weren't there and didn't catch the twitter feed - here is your inside look at MommyCon Mini Phoenix!
It's not truly wordless because the "scrapbooker" in me can't help but add captions!! I'll do better wordlessly next time...
