Well, we are back to posting after our class session. We are so excited to be teaching again after
our summer break up in Payson, AZ.
Last night was our second class of the series, “Nutrition in
Pregnancy”. We show the video of a visit
Dr. Brewer made to one of Marjie & Jay Hathaway’s classes in CA. Although it’s dated as far as analogies and
hairstyles, and some of the information has changed for our generation*, the
majority of the information still rings true. |

STAY COOL AND COMFORTABLE First of all and off topic, congratulations to Lynnie Genho who won a copy of Husband-Coached Childbirth in last week's giveaway.
As you read on Tuesday ( Part 1), dehydration and hyperthermia can cause
dangerous complications of pregnancy. Remember you have permission to be a Drama Queen during the summer months! Take it easy and take care of yourself as the
temperature climbs. You can also enlist
your coach and assistant coaches to help you take advantage of one, some or all of these comfort
measures to avoid dehydration and hyperthermia in the first place. |

Ideas to Have a Safe Pregnancy During the Summer Months - Hello, Mr. Sun!
Tina Lebedies, a Bradley Method® instructor in Queen Creek,
Arizona, suggested I write a post about staying healthy through the summer. As the heat in Arizona and other arid states
is starting to climb, and humidity is starting to build in the rest of the
United States, I figured this was a perfect time to address that topic. As the sun gets stronger and the temperatures
gets hotter, it is important to take extra precautions to stay hydrated and
cool if you are pregnant through the summer months. |
