Breastfeeding Support Groups and Classes
The Arizona Breastfeeding Center is a great resource for area families who are interested in making breastfeeding work.
What does the AZ Breastfeeding Center offer?
They offer a free breastfeeding support group that meets once a month. In addition, there are two classes offered every month, plus a postpartum support group that meets every Wednesday.
Aside from the groups and classes, IBCLCs are available for private consultations, a therapist is on staff to help mothers who need extra support adjusting throughout the postpartum period, and a chiropractor works in the office every Friday to adjust babies who need a little physical support to get breastfeeding off to a good start.
It is definitely a one-stop source for all your prenatal and postpartum breastfeeding education and support.
Click HERE for other local support groups; and there are listings for national and international options if you are not local to the Phoenix area.
