Arizona Dragon Boat Festival
It's a dragon. It's a boat. It's a dragon boat, and a festival that celebrates the Chinese tradition. Paddlers from around the world come to Tempe for this two-day rowing event on Tempe Town Lake. The festival pits 16-member boats against one another in a race to the finish aboard elaborately decorated boats. Saturday and Sunday, March 22-23. Free admission.

Kite Flying Festival
The skies over Fountain Hills will be alive with kites for this 12th annual festival, which is sponsored by the Pakistan Information and Cultural Organization and is meant as a farewell to winter. Beyond kite flying, the festival will feature Pakistani food, music and activities for children. Free admission.

Turkeys, Camels, and Gila Monsters, Oh My!
As part of the Arizona Archaeology Month program, the event focuses on all things furry to cold-blooded reptiles. Ranger Jessica discusses how people have interacted with a diversity of locally found animals and how those same creatures have provided us with food, shelter, companionship and more. The program will take place in the Nature Center classroom. $6 vehicle park entrance fee.

Fish Feeding
Come see an 18,500 gallon freshwater aquarium that offers an up-close view of trophy-sized catfish, bass, striper and blue gill.  Feeding includes an informative presentation about the fish.  Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 pm and Tuesdays at 6:00 pm.  Also, every day kids can help us feed the trout in our Trout Stream at 1:30pm.

Autism Family Swim
Children with autism and their families are invited to swim at Hubbard Family Swim School’s Mesa Riverview location on the fourth Saturday of every month. All ages are welcome. There are two heated 90-degree indoor pools, each 4 feet deep with ledges and steps for exploration and fun. Showers and a changing area are available. Lifeguards will be present and all swimmers, regardless of aptitude, are encouraged to participate.
